This ring is made from Mokume Ti(TiDamascus). Three types of titanium alloys are forged together which creates beautiful layers. The colors are brought out by gas torching the ring after it has been polished. Due to the hand-crafted material, every piece will vary slightly in pattern and color.
Titanium is a very light material and is extremely comfortable to wear. The heat treatment that brings out the color does so by oxidation. This finish is beautiful, but is just a surface finish. It will show natural wear over time just like any other piece of fine jewelry. You can refurbish the ring by a easy way: clean the ring and heat treat the ring by gas torch again, the ring will look like a new one. Please don't touch the ring right after gas torch since the ring is very hot.
